- I knew I wanted a career working with animals since I
was young.
- My animal career started with llamas at the age of 12. I
worked on a farm for 5 years and showed llamas
professionally for 4 years. I've qualified to Regional shows
and traveled to Massachusetts, Ohio and Virginia.
- After high school I decided to move to Florida to
attend the Florida Institute of Animal Arts in 2005. It is
the only accredited grooming school in the United States.
After an intense nine months of training, I graduated at the
top of my class and moved back home to PA. I worked at a
local grooming salon for two years until I decided I was
ready to start my own business.
- I am a member of the National Dog Groomers
Association of America.
- I offer free grooming services to
two local home based animal shelters. "Second Time Around
Rescue"
http://secondtimearoundrescue.org/,
based in Elverson, PA; and "Namcha Home for Wayward Animals"
http://namchahome.com/,
also based in Elverson, PA.
- I share my home with my dog,
Charlie, my two dwarf Russian hamsters, one teddy bear
hamster, and my fish. Outdoors are my chickens. In my free time I like to
read, ski, take pictures, target shoot, and garden.
- I'm a big travel buff. My family and I love traveling
around the world. We've been to Bermuda, Puerto Rico, the
Virgin Islands, Canada, and Costa Rica.
